The summer holidays are not far off and there will probably be delight at time off school.  However,  it won’t be long before either the kids complain that they’re bored, or you start to worry that they’re glued to their screens for more hours than is good for them.  It can be a challenge for any parent to keep one or more children occupied through the summer holiday, especially if you’re both working.  Kids love their clubs, but these are closed for the summer – so here’s an idea – what about activity breaks for the kids?  Probably the best-known adventure holiday company is PGL.  They offer a wide range of options from action and adventure, creative and even holidays spent riding rollercoasters.  They cater for ages 7-17 and kids are well looked after by the PGL team.    A week pony trekking for the horse mad?  There are holidays for beginners and for more advanced riders.  How about sending your junior petrol head on a holiday where they learn to ride a motorbike, a go-kart or a quad bike in a safe environment?  There really is a wide range to choose from.  Be warned – even if your children go on different PGL holidays, they’ll learn the same ‘campfire’ songs – and you’ll be hearing a lot of them when they get back!  Many of the big football clubs run football camps during the summer break and if you have a soccer fanatic in the household, there are camps for both boys and girls in several locations throughout the UK.  Check out Soccer Camps International to choose the one that suits your family best.  There are summer camps for:  Filmmaking (12-17)   Acting (6-17)  Rugby (13-15)  Cookery (8-14)  And just about anything else you can think of, look at Activate Camps for a wide range of sports camps or XUK for options that include sport, art and drama.  Or just do a search for your child’s favourite activity.   Some courses are residential, but not all – so do check before booking.  These are just a selection of possible options and are not endorsed by Exemplar Education.  There are many others, please check them out carefully before booking.
